In a heartwarming move that blends philanthropy with passion, tennis superstar Coco Gauff has announced the creation of “Dogtopia,” a 15-acre, state-of-the-art facility near Georgia dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs who have suffered abuse, abandonment, or trauma. Backed by a $5 million personal investment, Gauff’s project reflects her deep affection for animals and her belief that dogs deserve more than just shelter—they deserve healing, care, and love.
“Dogs are more than pets—they’re family,” Gauff shared during the unveiling. “I grew up around dogs, and I’ve seen how much they give without asking anything in return. But even more crucial, she says, is the compassion-driven atmosphere that defines every corner of the center. “The most valuable thing we offer here is love,” she said. “It’s not just about rescuing dogs—it’s about restoring their trust in people.”
Beyond serving as a rehabilitation center, Dogtopia is also aiming to be an educational hub and adoption leader. Local schools will be invited for tours and interactive sessions to teach children about animal welfare and empathy.
